Join us for another online iteration of the Archive/Counter-Archive Working Papers Series, which brings together PhD students from different Universities to hear about exciting doctoral research in the area of archival studies. Join us for the first online iteration of the Archive/Counter-Archive Working Papers Series. Our first speaker is Mariane Bourcheix-Laporte, who is a PhD candidate in the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University. Based on her new project, “Digital Distribution as Counter-Archival Practice?,” Mariane’s talk will explore digital distribution in Canadian artist-run distribution platforms, and will be followed by a Q&A with the audience, moderated by our student organizers, Michael Marlatt and Caroline Klimek.

Archive/Counter-Archive is delighted co-host this special screening of John Greyson's ZERO PATIENCE, presented in partnership with Paradise Cinema's Queerly Beloved series and the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival! This will be the premiere of a newly restored version of the film. The digital transfer is a result of a collaboration between A/CA, Vtape and the Vulnerable Media Lab at Queen's University.
