On Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2PM EST, Archive/Counter-Archive was delighted to host a public talk by Crystal Mowry (Senior Curator at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery). 

In Commit to Memory, Crystal Mowry reflects on the conception and realization of several recent projects, including Black Drones in the Hive, a solo exhibition by Deanna Bowen that is on view at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery until May 23, 2021.
 
About Crystal Mowry
 
Crystal Mowry is Senior Curator at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (KWAG). During her time with KWAG, she has curated and coordinated over a hundred exhibitions. Her solo projects with Ontario-based artists Maggie Groat and Ernest Daetwyler received Exhibition of the Year Awards from the Ontario Association of Art Galleries. She has written curatorial and experimental texts for various artist-focused projects, including Still Move: Brendan Fernandes, a monograph on the performance and installation work of Brendan Fernandes for which she also served as an editor.
