Archival Atelier | "Digitising and Remediating Personal Archives" Workshop with Nada El-Omari and Jean-Pierre Marchant

Nada El-Omari, current artist in residence at CineMobilia, and Jean-Pierre Marchant, Director of Operations at CineMobilia, have been talking and making films with family archives for several years. In this workshop Nada and Jean-Pierre will discuss their shared interest in silences, stories, migration, and grief in family photos and home movies.

Working Papers Series: Lola Rémy | Zoom, Dec 5

Join us for another online iteration of the Archive/Counter-Archive Working Papers Series, which brings together PhD students from different universities to hear about exciting academic research in the area of archival studies. Our next speaker is Lola Rémy, who is a post-doctoral researcher at McGill University. Lola's talk will be followed by a Q&A with the audience, moderated by our student organizers, Emily Barton and Elina Lex.

VIVO Media Arts Artist in Residence Announcement: Roxanne Charles and Easton Arnouse

We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with our partner organization, VIVO Media Arts, we are hosting Roxanne Charles and her son, Easton Arnouse, as two new A/CA Artists in Residence. Throughout the following months, Roxanne and Easton will be working with VIVO to produce a new counter-archival project.
